Hutson-Tillotson is a private historically African American university. Samuel Hutson College and Tillotson Women's College merged in the 1950's to become Hutson-Tillotson College. Since 2005, the college has been known as Hutson-Tillotson University and is a co-educational institution. Programs are offered in the university's College of Arts and Sciences and School of Business and Technology.
